Doesn't appear to have been widely reported - I just noticed it as a sidebar in this week's NME:

Died on Christmas Day - colon cancer.

Saw her on the most recent series of Later performing with Jools.
Wouldn't have guessed anything was wrong - a trooper until the end.

And in her time, absolutely purrfect!

Yupp, saw that. I didn't like her singing too much, but she surely was a one-of-a-kind person.
I hope she enjoyed the ride.
