Futurama???

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

For some reason, of the really early gigs, this one always grabs my attention ... probably cos it was the first "big" show the Sisters played at, plus I went to uni in Staffordshire, so think it a strange place to hold such an event.

I'm sure there was once a thread on here somewhere about it, but the search function is not helping me, so thought it would be easier to just put all my questions in one post and hope I get the answers....

Did Dave Humphreys play second guitar (and where has the thread I'm sure once existed about him gone!!!)???

Who shouts out "Bring out the dead" after the first song?

Did any Heartlanders go?

If anyone did go, what was it like? Did they see the Sisters? How many people were there for it (they were on early yeah?) - did they get a good reaction??

Did any Heartlanders see the band in 81 at all? Must be quite hard to reconcile what you saw that day with what awaits those of us going to the 2009 shows.

Cheers

M.
