The Sisters? Newcastle Utd.
Always showed promise but never quite got to the top.
*Edit: Oh, and the (male) fans display an alarming tendency for toplessness.

Nice post.
I am going to take it a step further and say that Andrew is sort of like Cristiano Ronaldo.
Both have done some amazing stuff in their careers, but if they don't change their ways, they just mind end up being remembered for their complaining and whining.
As a team, and this is going to sound cheesy, they just may be St. Pauli. Adored by its loyal followers, but not known by many.

I was gonna say Leeds United who went from the Champions League to a quite lower level right now.
But hey, I am not gonna do that.
Liverpool; maybe not the best team but always giving their best.
Yes....Liverpool....

I was thinking maybe Chelsea; sometimes wonderful; sometimes for no apparent reason awful. And with a tendency to change personnel and direction very quickly...

seeing as liverpool last won the league (the old first division -the forerunner of the premier league) back in 1990, the year VT came out, do we get a new sisters album if they manage to win this year? (that's bloody depressing actually -nearly 20 years without a new album or the title.

i thought that everyone here used to thinking about no next album, ever.

Everton.
Always there or thereabouts. Capable of brilliance. Still get good crowds despite the lack of product (silverware/album).
