Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I see that one of those disgraceful wiberal newspapers is giving away this 1989 'black comedy' free tomorrow on the condition that I pay the cover price of approximately £2. Casting my mind back I seem to remember it being an amusing movie which attempted some kind of dialogue on the theme of the role of the outsider in mainstream society. Is it worth picking up or is my memory playing tricks on me?

For 2 quid, I wouldn't turn my nose up.

It's not a bad film.
Cheers.

I've always loved this movie myself - bit of trivia, the guy who wrote it, Daniel Waters, went to my high school (way before I was ever there, he went in the early 80s) and is from my hometown - South Bend, IN. I actually found this out after I was already a huge fan of the movie. Having lived here my entire life, it all makes sense to me.

I liked it when I first saw it, nowadays in the autumn of my life I might view it more cynically.

Damn fine movie but not worth wasting two quid on.
