Boston Latin School headmaster Lynne Mooney Teta issued a notice to parents and students yesterday quashing rumors of vampires at the school.

Well, that's reassuring.

What kind of world are we living in where the headmaster of an apparently prestigious school has to reassure the parents that none of the kids are vampires?

The article mentions a "student rumoured to be a werewolf". The world wants to know: are there any zombies?

Oh, and Tim: You may want to take out that arrow before putting the string into the catch, or you might nail your foot too the floor. Methinks there were safer designs of crossbows elsewhere.
Mentioning nailing: Has anyone checked the heads of those parents for nails that might accidently (or not) have got beaten in there?

Oh my...make believe vampires (which sounds like a rumour started by some kids to hurt and make fun of another kid) and a rumoured teenage werewolf weird these people out? Is that really all it takes, with all the crazy stuff that actually does goes on in the world every day?

Yet images of vampires are common in books, television programs, and movies...

So of COURSE that means that they're real - right? I mean you should always believe everything you see on TV, in movies, read in books, see on the internet...

Notice how every word improves with 'Zombie' added to it. Not the same for Vampires. Vampire School? Nah. But Zombie School, Zombie Football, Zombie Barber, Zombie Breakfast....
