just been given the following message from some friends following the current tour...
this is not a drill.
the news comes from band, and the official site will be updated shortly to reflect this...
----------------------
Sorry about this.
We are having to reschedule the next three gigs in
Budapest,
Zagreb and
Zurich, following throat infections, influenza and gastro-enteritis.
Under doctor's orders, we can't do anything for a week.
Normal service should resume from Leeds (April 8th) onwards.
----------------------
effected dates are:
2009 April 03 Budapest Hungary A38 Ship
2009 April 04 Zagreb Croatia Tvornica Kulture
2009 April 06 Zurich Switzerland X-Tra
i repeat, this is not a drill.
sounds like they are having a 'mare.
get well soon guys

if its any consolation, they do have a sick note from a 'real' doctor, and they are all gutted about having to postpone the 3 gigs

someone at Moscow gig was told by a guard that Eldo had that gastro- thing attack right before the show
yep, good luck to them

seems to be a reoccurring problem since the first outbreak in scandinavia
i think a few days off should allow them some time to recover properly and then complete the rest of the tour...

Blimey, hope they're better by next Wednesday!
*Edit: Sh1te, that sounds a bit selfish! Get well guys, for your own sake, not just the gigs!

I was amazed when they kept on going ofter the first bout of gastro - been that route myself, I was weak as a kitten after and literally lost 10 lbs over the course of 12 hours. And I was supposed to be performing the following day as well - can't even
imagine having tried to go through with it.
A week of doing nothing is a critical - exhaustion is not conducive to recovery. Very much hoping they'll all be healthy again soon...
And feeling very bad for those who won't be able to rearrange their plans.

..but we all know what you mean.
Get well soon. The idea of
perched on the throne with a bucket in front of him is not a pleasant one.

I really understand the selfish part, I am feeling the same way. On the other hand, with their music meaning so much, I believe we should allow some selfishness around, it is not so bad.

We've also broken some tour buses, one of which may or may not still be in flames.
