The Mexican Gov. has called off all concerts including one show that was to be on June 10th

that sucks. hope noone travelling over to Mexico have bought their tickets yet.
but then again, it had been bugging me for a couple of days -
's not exactly been in top health during this tour and it would have been plain foolish of him (and of course, the rest of the band) to play in Mexico given how things are at the moment, even if the gig hadn't been cancelled by the authorities.

still a month 'til June ... but as it looks, it's far more dangerous than the avian flu ...

My thoughts exactly.
With all the illness that had been going round, I'd begun to wonder several days ago if it would be good idea. It's out of their hands now.
Hoping that something can be done for the fans at some later date. Right now, though, it's in
everybody's best interest not to congregate in large numbers.

so far it's not official because 1) band of on tour so Andrew cannot update the site 2) it's probably not official now 'coz promoter didn't canceled the show . and btw. does anyone knows for how long all mass events are canceled in Mexico City ? or, is it permanent or period regulations ?
and as i see now the gig i planned on 10th june - my b-day - so i'll give you a gift from me

If it were now, there is no way that this concert would go forward. Football matches are played in empty stadiums.
However, there is still a lot of time until then, and this could dwindle away, just as avian flu and SARS did (but it's good to be stay on top of things).
The other question is whether Andrew would feel comfortable going even if all is declared good by then.

I (normally) go to Mexico in August. Hopefully things are ok by then and Sisters will play Mexico if I'm there. Sometimes one can dream, no ?

If the pandemic worsens, the whole South American leg could get cancelled

i know there are people out there looking forward to these gigs, but i'd much rather they played it safe and rescheduled the whole lot. at least until we know what we're dealing with.
call it inconsiderate if you will, but that's how i feel about it
