Thanks: there are quite a few good BR sites around.

I was just about to remark about your avatar, being a bit of a fan...

:notworthy: Nice to meet a fellow fan! I've been looking for decent sites for ages without anyluck until now! What did you think of the PC game? It had me addicted for months!

I've got some written down at home; I'll post them tommorow. I presume you found the one with hundreds and hundreds of screen shots??

There's also a mailing list that will keep you detailed on the most trivial of information- most of which is about what the actors are doing, new articles (when they're published, what people say etc...). In fact the level of mania really blasts this place out of the water.

There's the various copies of the scripts available on the net also which, of course, are worth reading- if not printing out...

I know for a fact that Black Dahlia & Mozz Magister are also ardent fans.

:notworthy: Please do! I've only ever found one page fan sites on geocities etc. Nothing like this one, which reminds me of an excellent Dune site I once frequented!

he used to do starwars, ampire and jedi sites too - dunno what happened to them though :(

did you know that mark met his wife through that dune site? she lived in america and was a massive dune fan. they got emailing and then chatting, and then he went over to the u.s. to visit her... fastforward a couple of years and she moves over her, they get married, and live about 10minutes away from me! :D :D

small world eh? ;)

Paul Sammon's book "Futire Noir" is essential to any Blade Runner Fan's collection.

As is this, which I picked up the minute it was released:
Image

My finest BR moment however, was being one if the lucky few who saw the Workprint copy at it's short 2 week run at the Castro Theater in San Francisco, 1993.
Still my favorite movie.

*** INTRO

Hello people,

I'm a bit short on news of any description this issue - it's the time of year, I
suppose.

I did intend to use the new Newsletter format this time, but I didn't get the detail
sorted in time - so, it will definitely happen next issue.

Okay, here is the news ...

*** FOR SALE - ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT FOR SPINNER

Okay, who want's to own a very special piece of Blade Runner movie history? How about
the original working blueprint for the Police Spinner?

Phil Steinschneider contacted Bladezone to let us know he's currently selling this
prized possession on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1554116087

Go take a look - even if you don't intend to bid, there's still some interesting info
and images to look at.

*** LINK - ST*RFISH 1ST INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISER - IMAGES AND SOUNDS

Rutger Hauer held his first Starfish International Fundraiser in New York, June 28-30,
2002 at Madison Square Garden. If you missed it then here's your chance to see and
hear some of the sights and sounds recorded at the event and posted on Rutger's
official website.

Go here to read the article at Rutger's official Starfish Association website:

http://www.rutgerhauer.org/rutgerhauer.org/ny2002.php

Link kindly provided by Grazia, assistant to Mr Hauer.

*** PKD ARTICLE - WASHINGTON POST - PHILP K. DICK'S FUTURE is NOW

Nice article about Hollywoods increasing interest in Philip K Dick stories. I'm
reliably informed that this article will be archived on the 10th August at which
point you'll have to pay to read it. So read it now or save it for later:

*** ONGOING FEATURE - BLADEZONE GALLERIES

Gary Willoughby and myself are trying to compile several 'galleries' of Blade Runner
related props, models and artwork. This is still very much 'work-in-progress', but I
thought I'd mention it now to try and generate some interest and (hopefully) input
from all you budding modelers/sculptors/artists out there who've created your own
personal tributes to Blade Runner.

Gary explains a little more in his intro:

http://www.bladezone.com/contents/galleries/main.html

As I said, the galleries are still 'work-in-progress' and so should be updated over
time.

*** FOR SALE - BLADE RUNNER REPRODUCTION GUN MOVIE PROP

Chris Condon informs me there's a new Blade Runner prop gun on Ebay:

http://www.stores.ebay.com/girlsysteminc

He's just bought one and will give us his verdict when it lands on his doorstep.

If you're on a tight budget you might consider buying one - but at $39.95 I personally
wonder about the quality. I suppose it's the old addage 'you get what you pay
for'...

I have a serious question to fellow UK residents - has anyone bought a replica prop
gun and did you have any reservations about owning one in a country that is very
'jumpy' about the possesion of guns, replica or otherwise? If I ordered one, I'd
half expect an armed response unit to turn up at my door...

*** END

Hmmm, a bit short this time, I know - you could always ask for your money back :)

Until the next time, then.

I'm almost finished reading KW Jeter's sequel "Blade Runner 2: The Edge of Human.

Most of the people from BR are back, including several you thought were gone for good.

Overall it's an OK book, but not on par with the original, and I didn't like what it did to some of the characters.

Haven't popped in HL for a couple of days, and you guys start talking about BR!!!!!!

Where you waiting 'til I wasn't around???

I found some more links on Blade runner.

Audio clips, my favourite the one second to the bottom. Where Roy is about to die. http://www.sciflicks.com/blade_runner/sounds.html

And another Blade Runner page with lots of same as the first posted. http://www.blade-runner.it/

But if you just search for Blade runner on google.com. You will find lots of more pages.

http://www.tyrell-corporation.pp.se/ and
http://www.devo.com/bladerunner/ must also be seen. Last one is the one I had for some time on my fav list..

Once again I am in here to edit my message, Im sorry  :innocent:
But I have a thing for listening to quotes from movies I love, and you might too? Now I am posting Dune links..
Number 6 from the top is my absolute fav! The opening on Dune gives me the chills.
http://archiv.scifi.sk/Dune/audio.html
http://www.duneworld.org/music/sndtrk1.html soundtrack bits.

Im sorry for all the links, I tend to get carried away  :innocent:
