When I first saw this title I went straight into Homer Simpson mode...mmmmmm Bacon.
Sadly it's just an exhibition of Bacon's artwork at the Met in New York..this look familiar?

I've studied his work since the 70s and he really managed to get his demons onto canvas.
Quite brilliant!

Where? New York? Oh bum.
Amazing artist. The
Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion are the only of his work I remember seeing "in the flesh" so to speak (at the Tate) and they're enough to give you nightmares.

I saw a few of his paintings in the flesh (inc the trio that Fiendy mentioned) at the Tate a little while ago, it was definatly the highlight of the gallery for me.

Went to the exhibit yesterday - to be honest most of it left me cold. I liked the earlier stuff, the Heads and the crucifix tryptichs, but the later work, portaits from photographs, didn't do a lot for me.
