5 b-sides to die for

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Underated as they are on the "b-side" but sometimes treasures are hiding there
I didnt put any sisters stuff for the usual reason, they are all top.

1 Siouxsie and the banshees : something blue (the passenger 12")
how this ended up here is just a mystery, should be on the peepshow
lp just before "rapsody".
2. New model army : modern times(here comes the war ep)
totaly breathtaking... (but nma have so many fine b-sides)
3. Xymox : twisted (phoenix of my heart 7")
the a-side is absolutely crap but this a pop masterpiece.
4. Carter usm : rent (rubbish 12")
one of the best covers e v e r
5.Depeche mode : ice machine (new life 7")
better than anything else they did at that time, and theres a fine live
version on the 12" of blashemous rumours.

Echo and the Bunnymen ~ Broke My Neck (long version) b-side of A Promise 12", the a-side is no slouch either
Suede ~ anything from their purple patch: The Drowners up to We are the Pigs
featuring: To the Birds; Where the Pigs don't Fly; Bentswood Boys; Whipsnade and the vital Killing of a Flashboy
Mansun ~ anything from their purple patch: Egg Shaped Fred up to Closed for Business
featuring: The Gods Of Not Very Much; Moronica; Railings (feat. Howard Devoto) and the vital Things Keep Falling Off Buildings

Dead Souls was a B-side too. :notworthy:

Hypnotized by the Spacemen was almost a B side. Sonic wanted his track on the A side, but nobody else was having any of it. Now that would have been a killer B side if so.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

The B-side to Marillion's "Garden Party - The Great Cucumber Massacre" single (Margaret) is fun.

Not including anything from von & the boys....

The Smiths - How Soon is Now
Stone Roses - Standing Here
Southern Death Cult - Moya (possibly double A side?)
The Godfathers - I Want Everything (pretty sure that this was another double A side)
The Jam - The Butterfly Collector

Infact this is a crazy idea, I could come up with another 20 choices in the next 2 minutes!
Give me one good reason

not at all. I was going to mention Like A Hurricane but was confused as to whether it was a B side or not.

Haven't heard this one, or what I assume is the Roxy Music original (?) but Moose do a cracking cover in their Peel session:
