...an american rock band doing a tour through China without entertainment visum.

Just roaming the clubs and asking for a gig. Birthday boys they are called and they play a sort of post-metal.

The Chinese crowd ofttimes don't know how to react but most of the time they get respect and awe, or a doc that shows the power of music past human boundaries..

Superb...

Oh by the way, I found the documentary I spoke of in the first post here

Since there is also another band called Birthdays Boys, these changed their name to Birthday BoyZ and you can find them here on the 'Space.
