Dylan "the dogfiend" 1995-2009

We came home from work last night and the dog was lying on the floor. He couldn't get up (he wasn't even trying to tell the truth) and couldn't move his back legs. We managed to carry him to the car -- and he would normally never let us pick him up -- and take him to the animal hospital. The vet said that pretty much the only thing to do was to put him to sleep.

Kerry and I are absolutely gutted. The house seems so empty without him.

Miss you fella.

i've never lost a pet (never had one in the first place), so i can only try to imagine how difficult it must be for you and mrs. fiend to get used to Dylan's absence.

Very sad for you ... oh and the way he looks behind these cushions ... :(

It is so hard to lose a beloved creature ...
hope you find a nice place to bury it.

Bad news mate. Thoughts to you both.

That's rough (er... bad pun most emphatically not intended). I've had to put down a few in my life, and it always feels lousy.

On the other hand, there are puppies in the world that need homes.

Sad indeed.
It looks like he made it to a high age. That happens when a dog had a good home. As Sultan says, there are many many dogs out there in want for a home like that. Don't wait too long.
Any day lost here is a bad day gained. It's not betraying old Dogfiend anyway. One never forgets family members.

Awwww...damn. I'm so sorry.

I've had to put down two cats that were longtime dear companions, so I know exactly how you feel. Big hugs (and lots of tissues) to you both.
