has anyone yet noticed that clicking "RECORD NEWS" on the official site takes you to a peculiar new page??
http://www.thesistersofmercy.com/error404page.html
at first i thought it was leading to a link where one might have free access to a new album. but that's not Von's style.
any guesses?

That page is ancient...but not easy to arrive at, unless you know the secret.

the page that is there now is the old "page not found" error page (aka the 404 page)
you could previously view the 404 page by typing in any incorrect address, eg:
http://www.thesistersofmercy.com/fhdskjh
there are a great many threads & posts on here describing what that cryptic retro-computer-game spiel means.
try this one for starters:
http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=18710
essentially its a rather elaborate in-joke with references to london, manchester and liverpool.
the fact that the 404 page now appears when you click record news means that they have removed the record news page.
read into that what you will...

By now shouldn't we have a thread containing links to all of the other threads that go over this stuff for the umpteenth time?
