 ... looks like somebody's trying to make money by fraudulent means ... :urff:

Perhaps, something should be done about this ... :?:

No, it's a "genuine item" so it must be alright.

Actually, I've got that concert. if I burn just one copy and write "1/1" on it, presumably I can sell it at an even higher price.

No, because as stufarq and the original poster points out, the concept of limited to 10 copies is just silly to begin with (especially in this situation). Others may think different of course, so there's even a good chance the buyer knows what she/he is doing and is a happy camper.

so, there is already one bidding.

i can make you fine cd-r numbered 1/1, you choose gig and cover (from let's say 3 different propositions). sounds good? price around 20 pounds (not include shipping)
i always wonder how these people must feel when they received such things  they awared of this s**t but still want it or what?

I am sure you can. But Cdr? No, thank you very much...
well, if things a professional made, than they are getting interesting. But i think not this time ... :-)

the point simply is: does anyone bid on it or not - 46 pnds says enough ....

and if we find nr. 11 in 5 years. many of us wild go wild ;-).

this release does look much better than black planet, which even featured mr. james on its cover.

in the particular case i am happy to still possess the old 2 lp set

Looks professional, but everyone can do it nowadays. Sisters cd's were worth buying before cd-r's for the masses were introduced. In the nineties I bought quite some SIsters bootlegs on cd, but not in this decade. I stick to vinyl

sadly i can´t do it my own. I am not a creative person and don´t have the time and ideas to create and print professional artwork.

Geting a CDr is very disapointing. That´s right. But if it´s a proper CD with nice artwork, why not.

Vinyl is much more interesting. That´s absolutly right! :!:

me don't think this is a proper pressed CD but printed cd-r. may be wrong of course.

that second image looks horrid, there are lines that run through the entire pic, maybe they were going for an aged look or something

the cover on the second picture looks like printed with my old printer.
But the "CD" was sold. Let´s wait until no 2 comes up...

a designer casts a jaded eye over the sleeves:

The Blackfest one has been run off on a pretty cheap bubble jet printer onto shiney 'photo quality' paper, that's why there's the 'banding' on the photo. The other one is just horrible to look at and if I owned it, I'd make my own sleeve.
If you ever feel like starting up your own bootleg business Herr. auflage please get in touch, I'm in the graphics biz and could definitely do a more aesthetically pleasing and professionally printed job. I could probably get the CDs printed too, and not CD-Rs either.

It does throw up the question: When is a bootleg not a bootleg?

and, if a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing right

@ Mr. Blast: For a own bootleg business I realy would need some creative helping hands...
Think I found one of your works. Nijmwegen? Looks fine... :notworthy:

it's strange btw. on some kind of polish ebay, allegro.pl, you cannot sell cd-rs, it's strictly prohibited by ban and so on.

I think this is also in the ebay rules. But if no one reports that people will try and some people will buy.
A silver pressed CD would be fine but just a bought cdr will no make me a happy camper.
