The supporting cast are young and energetic but the male lead seems like he can't be arsed.

The film has a great title and great cast, but full information about it cannot be given yet, because it is in development and will be ready some time in the future: now it's said 2012, in 2012 it will be postponed until 2020 or so.

Synopsis from iMDB:
Smith plays a behatted gunslinger living above the pharmacy of a small town, links up with a bunch of renegades and lays waste to the area, and eventually the whole country- all within a few years.
There is logic to their methods and with no time to cry they are caught between a rock and a hard place, but manage to walk away.
Ditching the others after some in-fighting in the gang, at the piano one night he spies one of the morrison girls and launches a new assault, this time just the two of them. They travel to India, Jordan and even link up with the mysterious mr. Ray from the Hood.
After being consumed by Rock, he changes tactics again, getting a new posse - one of the only ones around at the time, as well as an ageing slinger from far off sputnik. They attack the goverment, as well as media establishments - wanting something fast, needing more and trying not to be seen. They're cut to ribbons, but damned if they'll ever love your fellow man. He ralises that this is life under the gun.
The inevitable breakup of this group of mercenaries sends Smith off on his own path, now and then resurfacing - eventually raising his head on an annual tour of the provinces - pilgrims seeking him out when he obliges an audience, part time hands helping him out, only the ever faithful doktor skulking in the shadows, drumming up support.
Silver bullet in hand, utilising smoke and mirrors they continue to plague the authorities, and to humour their supporters, they themselves only popping their heads from the darkness to upload videos of their hero or to rip another recording of a recent new proclamation.
The film ends with our balding hero comtemplating his next move, his next target, his next release...
.....cue music over end titles....

It should be the other way round. I can just see
singing this:
Now this is a story all about how my
Life got flipped turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air

I expected nothing less, and would have been bitterly disappointed if it was otherwise.

I heard that Smith is refusing to sign because they won't pay him enough.
He's threatened to go on strike and then release Wild Wild West in order to get out of his contract.

The soundtrack will be too quiet but the lighting will be fantastic.
