on the old Eurovision, thought Norway entry was ok, Austria was a strange mix of Rap and Marilyn Manson....all good entertainment and it don't cost a penny...(should go to the pub I guess), about to puke at the Ireland entry.....

Turkey's song sounded lika a low-price Tom Jones 'Sex Bomb' rip-off...
But t.a.t.u's song was great and their performance reminded me of The Jesus and Marychain - Utterly Bored Groovy

Having watched the entire show (I know Im sad - but what the hell) - I really hope for two things for Russia to win (and they wont!) and for the UK to get "Nil Poi" - No Points ! - which looks very very likely
Updates at the end of the show - which is now Turkey have Won! - Should have been Russia IMHO- Its "Tatu" after all!
I started another "Eurovision" thread before I read this one! sorry!
UK got F*** All - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
also IMHO - Get rid of that rug wearer Terry Wogan

I really hoped that in my spare time I would not hear anything about Eurovision because my boss (very cool person, by the way) has turned to a Eurovision fan. Can't remember when did it happen - maybe 2 years ago when Estonia won...
Anyway, almost each day I have to hear anything about this contest. And sometimes he entertaines us with playing some notably ridiculous Eurovision-song.
Sometimes it seems to me that I'm the only Estonian who doesn't care about it. But when my boss demonstrated Austrian video I decided to make a call and vote for this one because it seemed to be the only song that expressed something human (well it was very stupid humour but stupid humour is still something more than nothing) and reflected the stupidity of this contest.
So, yesterday, when the contest took place I asked my wife to use headphones while she watched it and to mention me only when Austrian or Russian song would be performed.
She was so kind and did it.
As a result I still thought it's unfair to vote for one song when I havn't heard others and TATU was a total disappointment. Very week, even for dancing floor. Maybe I mistake but it seems to me even Spice Girls had better songs or at least some of them later. And I saw some pics of those TATU creatures in a newspaper and one of them was quite ugly in a real life. Every morning, when I go to work, I see prettier Russian girls in a bus. Even my boss was agree with me in this point.
About Estonian song - although I know one guy from this band (I didn't watch them yesterday but I think there was a guitarist with a beard) it makes me sad that there are some people in the world who are too young to remember 80s but still insolent enough to whine how horrible was this decade.
Still, thanks to Eurovision for introducing Ofra Haza to the world

always wanted to visit one of the Baltic states.
I read somewhere recently that Talinn was rapidly becoming the coolest city in Europe; I hope they don't jack up the prices before I get there!
And did anyone else notice how the British Eurovision band were singing horribly off-key?
