Many moons ago, I moved the USA and donated my vinyl record collection to my brother. Now he's thinking about moving, and wants to dump the collection - literally.

So, I'm curious how much vinyl is worth these days? Do people still collect, or is it very, very niche? Is it worth the effort of sifting through a few hundred records for a couple of gems, and putting them on Ebay? Obviously, I'm in the US and the records in the UK, so I'd have to convince my brother to do the work, and make it worth his while...

Anybody know a good site which lists the value of records?

I am in the process now of having my collection shipped and am looking forward to making a shed load of new cd's but it is costing around a grand for 14 cubic feet....my wife is not a happy camper!!!
