I heard that on the radio this morning.
The guy being interviewed about the find was saying how the chap who found it was terrified. He said when the experts arrived 'They shared his terror.'

He'll be a wealthy boy though.

That is bloody marvellous! If I lived in the UK, I reckon I'd be out there doing the same thing!!!

Real archaeologists tend to look a bit askance at metal detectorists. Sure they find interesting stuff, but they tend to have nNo respect for the stratigraphy.
