Uploading Images to Wiki and/or Photo Gallery

For you to give feedback to the Heartland moderators. Wish lists, fault reports, etc. You may get an answer, you may not. As in all things, it largely depends on how nicely you ask the people in charge... You're welcome.

As far as I've noticed uploading images to the Wiki has been blocked ... :(
[for some good reason, perhaps ...]
however, I'd like to upload some images there for example like this one here ... :D

... and perhaps other people might like to add such images as well ...
especially in the bootleg section ... which is very slowly improving - but
without the images of the covers it looks quite pale ...

Is there any chance you enable uploading images? ... :?:
And Heartland Photo Gallery ... I've tried to upload some pictures there,
but couldn't manage ... seems to be disabled as well ...

Thanks to Quiff Boy, spammers seem to be fended off successfully,
insofar enabling uploading pictures should not present much of a risk ... :?:

As for the gallery, there's a little upload button on the upper right area of every album. Haven't tried it yet but I assume it should work.

Dunno much about wiki stuff but maybe the Quiffministrator can upgrade your account somehow :wink:

the gallery should be working - i'll look into it.

as for the wiki, it's been a couple of years since i uploaded any images there so i'll need to check how it's supposed to work.

the image gallery upload works for me... i've just uploaded this:

you need to browse to a section within the gallery (eg: misc photos) and click the UPLOAD button in the top-right corner :?:

eg:

Image

i get an email every time someone uploads something to the gallery as all uploads need to be approved by me before they are visible to everyone else.

is that not what you are experiencing?

i'll check out the wiki later...

ok, it should be simple enough on the wiki but it looks like it's turned off for some reason

you should be able to go to this page and upload a file

http://sisterswiki.org/Special:Upload

upload it, note down the code for it, go to your wiki page and edit it, inserting the image's code

that seems to be the process, but as i say it seems to be disabled

it's a quick change to enable it but i cant do it from work so i'll have to do it tonight when i get home :)

image uploads should be fixed on the wiki now :)

eg:

although that one is just to test - i realise it probably counts as a copyrighted image, so don't use it in an wiki page.

Well, first the bootleg covers while enlarging the setlists with additional info and interlinking what might be interlinked ...

Bonn 2001, an exciting concert, close to Cologne ... and far away enough ...
still entirely glad I've been there ...

Good heavens, I have just uploaded some modified Sisters logo
of 300 dpi to the gallery ... I had not imagined it to be THAT large ... :eek: ...

Worst thing is: I don't know how to delete it myself,
seems to have gone directly to admins' assessment ... so sorry for any inconvenience ...

uploaded UTR # 14, pages 1 - 26, plus insert pages 27 - 30. Three pages are left. Storage doesn't seem to take more than 30 pages for review ...

Oh, it's a pleasure, thanks ... and thanks for checking ...

I've uploaded a few pages of UTR # 15 in the meantime ...

The rest of it will take some time, since I have to remove the lyrics
I scribbled all over the pages ... and UTR # 13 is in A3 format ...
my scanner does A3 but then the pages will be more or less impossible
to read ... any suggestions how to handle that?
