yeah, from sisterstrading.com:

About the bootleg
The 1988 'Hand of God' bootleg is available both on CD, LP and cassette. I made the CD-r from an old cassette (copied from the tape in 1992). Unfortunately I haven't been able to get hold of the bootleg in any original format. The closest I've come so far is finding the LP booklet in a second hand record store.

Hi there, I came across this post while Googling down memory lane, thread resurrection time!

I can verify that there never was an LP (unless someone pressed one later from the tape). A person, let's call him a very good friend of mine, very intelligent, attractive, good taste etc ;-) made this cassette in Stockholm, from sources that he had painstakingly collected, mostly in London, after he had heard "Alice" when it came out and had become hooked on the Sisters.

As he was a skilled graphic designer (a rarity at the time) with access to expensive printing equipment, and loved bootlegs (and in particular the Sisters), he had the cassette printed and replicated from a professional 2" master tape at one of the official pressing plants (on Gärdet in Stockholm, a place that didn't ask questions).

He also made a color cover for the cassette, a voluminous lyric and interview scrapbook, and a small poster, and shrinkwrapped the whole thing at the office where his friend was working (they had an awesome shrinkwrapping machine).

To wrap it all up, he also printed a transparent sticker that was placed on the package, which was sold at a certain very hip record store in downtown Stockholm, where my very close friend and his hip record store buddies used to snort speed (partly financed by this cassette and other innovative products), have drinks and listen to the Sisters, RYLY etc before they went clubbing in places like the Ritz club, Riche etc.

Here's a very small photo of the cassette, second item from top:

Aah.. those were the days..! It would be great fun to see photo of it, and fun to hear that it was doing the rounds at record fairs and even took on a life of its own on CD-R etc.

I still have dozens of these tapes in my storage including the master tape, but no longer live in Sweden so it's difficult to access it. I can give a couple of copies away for free next time I'm in Stockholm, if someone is interested.

Perhaps this CD/LP did come from Poland? I wonder. Are there any Polish bootlegs at all?

Awesome, was it printed in purple ink? Was it the whole package?
