I don't think I've seen ten good movies this decade. Is Requiem For a Dream really that recent?

In no particular order.... actually this is pretty tricky...

~ No Country for Old Men
~ Children of Men
~ The 2 Clint Eastwood war movies- Letters from Iwo Jima etc
~ The Queen - yes really, I thought Helen Mirren was outstanding
~ V for Vendetta was better than expected... as was Ironman
~ Monster
~ um ........????

I think that is all I can come up with at the moment.

Ironman is another of my most wank fillums... tries to think of something he enjoyed...

The Ridicules of Chronic!

I liked that, most folks ken it as The Chronicles of Riddick, I took it at face value and enjoyed the hell outta masel, even Dim Weasle was bearable :D

In retrospect, while at the cinema I loved the LOTR movies, IMO they played too fast-and-loose with the source material.

No Tombombadil, no Barrow Wights, Glorfindel pointlessly replaced by Arwen, Aragorn's motivation totally changed...

...and that's just the changes (that I can think of off the top of my head) that they made in Fellowship

I can totally agree with you.

And I'm another Tolkien geek that compared the Fillum with Teh Booke and saw what they did and what they had to Give Up and all...

It was a bitch of a job and they did a bloody GOOD job considered.

Hail Jackson.
