Oh god, Hartbeat used to be my favourite programme. I still remember getting really inspired every time I watched it, I would always go off afterwards and draw for hours. I always wanted to send something in to show on the Gallery, but I never did

Tony Hart was absolutely brilliant... he was of that generation of kids presenters that wasn't completely manic, just nice and gentle without being patronising. They do not make them like that anymore.
