its a web app - doesn't need a mac version.

1) drag the bookmarklet from the top of the keepvid page to your favourites bar
2) browse a youtube page & click the boorkmarklet
3) it will prompt you to download the movie as a swf or an mp4

eg:

works in all browser on all platforms 8)

No need for that on the mac. Browse to the youtube movie you want, then go to the topmenu -> Window -> Activity. Check for either a file that ends with .flv, or if that isn't present, a file that's a few megabytes in size. Doubleclick on that one while holding down ALT and the movie will download.

Works on some sites where RealPlayer refuses to acknowledge there's a movie playing.

keepvid will also find mp4 & hi-res versions of the same flv (where available) and offer them for download to 8)
