Pravda Recording Studio is a professional recording and mixing facility in Leeds, the capital of North England. The studio combines the best of modern working practices with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which has made it popular with everyone who has worked there.

The headquarter of the Pravda Studios consists of Adam Pearson (Guitar player and songwriter of THE SISTERS OF MERCY since 1993) and Sebastian Morawietz. Both they can look back to a long history of musical work and experiences. So, Adam Pearson played guitar and bass with JONNY THUNDERS, RED LORRY YELLOW LORRY and 3000 REVS before his involvement in the SISTERS, Morawietz on the other side is one of the main creative heads behind the very successfull girl group project ATOMIC KITTEN ("Hole Again"). In the past he also worked as programming engineer for several acts.

[...]

Recording is also underway at Pravda for the next, long overdued THE SISTERS OF MERCY album.

Yup, Adam's studio, which he was "still building" in 1999.

Headroom Productions is a music production partnership based in Leeds comprising engineers/producers Matt Peel and Andy Hawkins.

We met in 2004 whilst on a session for the now-defunct Bodixa. Both us and the band had a great time making the album, and we decided to work together permanently from Cottage Road Studios, formerly Pravda.

Pravda was your standard sterile studio environment and since 2004 we've tried to change it into a place that has a good vibe and where people feel at home. We've both worked in big studio environments, and love the sound of large analogue consoles and nice-sounding live rooms, but both wanted to get away from the tense atmosphere that sometimes comes with that. The studio we set up at Cottage Road has a lovely large Amek Rembrandt console, great sounding outboard and live room, but above all it's comfortable and relaxed.

Is Pravda now Cottage Road Studios?
Is Adam still involved?
Who cares, since :von: isn't recording down there anyway?

I question the use of "since 1993" and then most of the rest of it :|

It's a Freudian slip. "When you say one thing and mean your mother."

I tried to sell amps to them once (I worked for an amp company, they weren't knock off!). I asked to speak to Adam but he wasn't there. Boo.

Adam the bugger asked me at Joseph's Well 06 to mail him something to Pravda, I did. He never got back to me. . Still, he's my fave Sisters bloke. :D

Studio is still there anyway, I live quite close, I'll even upload some pics if peeps wanna see Mr Whammy Towers?! :von:
