Seconded.

These aren't the best but they're my faves for what the hell its worth...

Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), Adam Pearson, Dimebag, Kirk Hammett, Mark Mynett (Kill II This), Dave Wolfenden (RLYL and very briefly for live duty, The m*****n), Gary Marx, Andreas Bruhn, Tony Iommi, Geordie Walker, and probably Buckethead too because even though he looks like a bit of a berk, he absolutely rocks.

Its all a generational thing innit. I'll be posting on some forum in 20 years saying how Sepultura (Roots and before) were the best metal band ever and there'll be some upstart explaining to me how the new "planet sized alien metal thunder-f*ck super-mega guitarists" are the way forward and all others in the past sucked fluorescent hairy round things.

And while I'm here, Bernard Sumner was cruelly missed off by me earlier.
F*ck those future people, f*ck them up their stupid asses. (quote stealing from a film there.... gives me an idea for a new topic.......)

^ good shout.

although sometimes I wish Geordie Walker was the only guitarist in the world, the following are also supreme and must be mentioned:

Robert Smith (The Cure)
Andy Summers (The Police)
Dave Fielding (The Chameleons)
Mike Van Portfleet (Lycia)
Klaus Matton (Bethlehem)
Philippe Planchon (Asylum Party)
Harry Dingman (For Against)
David Rhodes (Peter Gabriel's band)
Justin Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu)
Geordie Walker (Killing Joke, again just for the sake of it)
