I've just had the best laugh in ages
Black Shuk on another thread believes that my avatar is a picture of me. To anyone else labouring under this misconception allow me...it's that comedic god amongst men Mark Gatiss, formerly in character as Iris Krall currently in character as Mickey M. Michaels aka Mickey 'Love'.
I'm better looking than Mark Gatiss in his various league of Gentlemen guises. Trust me.

meanwhile i had that avatar:

it's a personality called Zorro from one estonian TV-comedy.
damn', now i saw another - even better pic of him:

It's sooo lovely. Mr. QuiffBoy - could you help me changing my face again?

@ Quiff. Bingo Wings are untoned triceps which jiggle and flap especially when a woman of a certain age jumps up to cry "HOUSE"

Just on a technical note, computers have never been hamster powered. It's gnomes that do all the work. Always has been. On the topic of faster computers, scientists have been able to refine the combination of viagra and speed fed to the wee people that has enabled to do more things faster.

well what about all these bloody bugs and worms and things then?
Where do insects come into the equation? Last time I looked in mine I saw a spider living there
I kinda assumed he was something to do with me modem, so I left 'im to it
not that I'm an aged technophobe or anything

worms aren't insects.
bugs and the like eat gnomes. they are very dangerous and will slow down the computer.
The spider is probably a good thing as spiders eat bugs. He's probably your anti-virus thingy

That's a comment made by my hippie brother when my Mom handed him her mobile phone to chat to me.
The off button on a computer dims the lights inside the computer so that the gnomes think it's bed-time and go to sleep. honest.

ah, but my computer isn't portable, it just sits there and says I'm a computer, i will wait until you have just finished that 20 page report you've forgotten to save and then when you press Crtl P..........I will crash
.

That is what we in the industry call "wet-ware issues" or "I-D-10-T problems" or my favourite "POBKAC" (problem occurs between keyboard and chair). You know the gnomes aren't happy with their plight and tend to go on stike at the exact time you don't want them to.
that'd be multi tasking, quite possible with those new conjointed-gnomes they're coming out with now.
