Tomorrow will be my first attending of a summer festival in 2003. And it will be celebrated with a lot of crap beer (possibly Heineken, god forbid) and a three-day whiplash. Here's the bandlist:

IRON MAIDEN / TYPE O NEGATIVE / HIM / SEPULTURA / ANTHRAX / MURDERDOLLS / MADBALL / STRATOVARIUS / PETER PAN SPEEDROCK / CLAWFINGER / LACUNA COIL / ANNIHILATOR / BLOOD FOR BLOOD / DEVOTED TO HATE / KATAFALK

You'll have to miss me for a couple of days

IZZY.

I'm off to see Type O tonight at the Astoria. Wish me luck...

On a seperate note, I spent most of last year living in Canada. Seems in Vancouver the export beer of choice is...wait for it...Heineken. Didn't matter how much I told them how crap it was.
Couldn't get them turned on to Newcastle Brown either. Mind you they have some fantastic beer out there as well. Sleemans Honey Brown being the best of the bunch :)

I saw Type O at their sell-out gig in Manchester last night - they really rocked!
Any band that can get away with writing a song about a man who turns into a werewolf after engaging in oral sex with a menstruating woman ("Wolf Moon") has my utmost respect! :P

The Type O gig last night was pretty good. They seemed pretty happy to be there and after some problems with Pete's bass during the first couple of songs got down to it. Quite a lot of banter during the latter part of the gig.

Didn't know many of the songs, but my friend I was with said that there were only a couple she didn't recognise. They ended with a damn good version of Black No.1 with the audience singing most of it.

Only major critisim : Carling 3.10 a can? And it was warm. f**king London prices! No wonder I don't go there very often.
