Eldritch interview in Romanian national daily newspaper

Post your reviews of Sisters-related material or interviews with Sisters-related musicians here. And don't believe the hype: 1985 most definitely is a fashion statement.

If you're thinking this doesn't sound very eldritchy, you're probably right. Possibly a fake one.

Evenimentul Zilei (Romanian national daily newspaper), 2nd of August 2010

Translated (or at least tried to) the Q&A part, as the rest of the article didn't make much sense (not even in Romanian):
EVZ: You started playing because you wanted to be heard on the radio. Now you have already made history as a band. How important is radio for you today?
Andrew Eldritch:
In general, I like listening to live transmissions on the radio. I liked that during the football World Cup they removed the sound of the vuvuzelas. I hardly ever listen to music these days. I’d rather watch movies instead.

Next year you’re going to celebrate 30 years as a band. What is your greatest wish for the future?
First, we are very grateful we still exist after 30 years. It would be really nice celebrate other 30 years. Let's see if the boys agree and let me.

What do you expect to find here?
It is our first time in Romania and we’re looking forward to get there. It’s always nice to go somewhere new, especially when you get to stay there for a while. We are eager to visit new places and we hope you’ll like our show. We all read about Sibiu and we hope we’ll get to visit some places. Chris, our guitarist, told us that we shouldn’t miss the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Give us some details about the concert in Sibiu. What will we see on stage, how will the show be?
There are going to be many lights, lots of smoke and a "industrial music machine. Oh, and some very appealing guitars.

Working on a new album? Tell me something about your future plans.
We always write new songs, but it’s not in our plans yet to release a new album in the near future. For now we are working pretty much on our 30th anniversary, which will be next year. We’re thinking about how we want to celebrate.

After many years of career I'm sure you have many "secrets" that fans would love to hear...
Secrets are called secrets for a reason. I am a very discreet person and I have no intention whatsoever of giving my soul away on a silver platter. If I were the reporter I would probably ask myself about my favourite movies or ... about my favourite SF movie actresses. Same for the other members of the band.

What do you want to say to those who will come to the concert?
I hope they will enjoy all the concerts. It’s a beautiful part of the world and we can’t wait to get to Romania.

Few months ago, the same woman was writing another Sisters related article. Reading it, I found out that Leonard Cohen actually wrote a song for The Sisters, called "Sisters of Mercy". And 4 years after the band was formed, its members decided to take a 10 years break, as a protest against Time Warner

I think it sounds exactly like Eldritch, so probably the real thing

Thanks a lot for a proper translation! The google translations came up with "a new song in november"...
