Mine was a 2 hour job. It hurts like hell for about 5 minutes, then you adjust to it and its almost relaxing. So the answer is: don't be scared - it's easy!

the only tattoos i really like are the ones i don't yet have. none of my tattoos were results of a spur of the moment trip to the tattoo parlour (not that i have too many anyway). i don't hate them, but now that the novelty's (looooong) worn off i sure could live without them

It looks much better fresh, and will look even better once it's done malting! It's a bit scabby at the moment, so I haven't gone for an uber close up - the actual tattoo is only jist starting to show under the ink scab on top.

seemingly OT but we're kinda discussing designs here so..about 20 years ago there was a magazine (Select?) interview with Von in which a bit of his handwriting was reproduced along with a design he'd drawn-a rectangle made of his initials. Anybody remember this?
