for the last couple of weeks they've been filming the new
captain america film around the back streets of manchester
apparently 1940s brooklyn was too hard/expensive to recreate elsewhere, so they're using manchester's abundance of dark, satanic mills and adding on false store fronts

Any way of telling if it's going to be s**t yet?

Apparently a lot of it takes place during World War II, so the right attitude is probably one of suspicious optimism.

It's a movie based on a Marvel comic.
Next question.

Peter Fonda? I thought it was Hunter S. Thompson, the epitome of the American Voice and Dream. Not that there's anything wrong with Mr. Fonda, but that "flower Power" infomercial irks me.

It has Hugo Weaving in, that should certify it a movie for overweight man-children. I can just picture them lining up to watch, dressed as their favourite Marvel characters..*shudders*

Steady on now, I quite like Hugo, and I'm less than ten stone.

on the way back from lunch today i walked past a fenced off area where they were storing props
for some reason, this amused me:
a fake manhole cover with vents and a pipe for steam to be pumped through
