I know I haven't been on in a while but i wanted to check in. Oh can anyone tell me what a good theme for Marian (version) might be? I chose the song for a theme project at my school. My teacher needs us to write a 5 page paper on it.

so you're asked to write 5 pages on "Andrew is Goth though he denies it and claims the Sisters aren't?" :?:

high school education has obviously changed a lot since my time

Remember that "Goth" is a media word used to describe the type of music they seem to find as lurking in some shadows or other such nonsense. Andrew might argue that the idea of goth is really in peoples minds as something that represents that dark, forboding sense of human fear, carnal nature etc.etc. "Goth" the term itself is no more useful than say "Grunge" which again is a media term used to catagorize a number of bands which adhere to certain types of music and mash it up for themselves. But really, is it "grungee" I don't think so. Post Punk is probably a better term since its been around. The Doors were even called "goth" at some point but as Mr Eldritch tells us "Go Figure". Besides the term for it now is "Utterly Bastard Groovy Music" Heh Heh heh!!!

Sorry, I may have given you a start towards an answer that goes against your question, but now it's not all one sided, is it?...nonetheless, good luck and yes I wish my classes were like that too.....:)

Hmmmmm,
The results of this poll so far are Yes = 12, No = 87.

Given the way the question is worded does this result mean that people on here are saying he & The Sisters are Goth.

That would be my take on this question & the results.

Using Double Negatives, if Von says NO and the people on here disagree with his statement then the people say he IS a Goth & The Sisters are Goth.

I've always called The Sisters goth and myself a goth so going on his logic, if I'm a goth then The Sisters are goth and if The Sisters are Goth then Von must surely be goth.
If he says The Sisters aren't goth then I've spent a lot of money buying their CDs & seeing them live so if they're not goth then I'm not a goth but I know I'm a goth so therefore The Sisters are goth.

Phewwwwwww, there is a method to my madness
