As suggested by Zuma on the Where Do You Start thread...Wonder if this'll work..?
For those in the know, let's use the 1964 Standard European Rules (meaning the possible implementation of the Takanawa-Suzuki Manoeuvre in certain circumstances, but disallowing the use of the outdated Stakhanovite gambit)
For those not in the know, you'll soon pick it up!
OK, here goes...I'll start us off with...
ELEPHANT AND CASTLE...
Over to you!

HOWEVER, what an excellent opening from Mr Rhombus it has to be said...skilful, yet economic in its extravagance...
@ Ed, I counter with the controversial (yet hopefully acceptable under the Second Edition addendum) Schmidt-Kessler strategy...
Thus (ooh, hope this works): BAYSWATER...

based on your use of Liverpool Street, i invoke the 1979 Haile Selassie resolution, incororating the "free cheese on a monday afternoon" clause that was added in 1983 as a result of the uprising in Namibia during that year.
thus i counter with Becontree

For reasons far too obvious to detail here. I offer Higashi-zushi.
Just don't tell me you need an explanation - I thought we were dealing with professionals here.

in which case, since the Coleman "Sauce" gambit of 1987 was ruled legal (thus vetoing the popular but still fledgling Nantwich "Bus Stop" move of 1986) a move such as "shirokane-takanawa" (on both the mita and nanboku lines of the tokyo subway) would be perfectly legitimate.Chairman Bux wrote:For reasons far too obvious to detail here. Ye gods...that came a bit like a kamikaze out of the sun...
Right...in line with the Richthoffen solution (the secondary and tertiary stages as played out in the classic 1907 game which has gone down in the annals of M.C history) I offer to the assembled throng...
Zagreb Central!
(And before anyone asks, yes this does conform to the basic European rules...take a look at the footnote on page 325 if you have any doubts - see!?!?)
Let's get this back on track...
I feel my victory is imminent...

It would be if it didn't contravene the ban on such a move instigated by the Paris Conference of 1876...shame though, it'd have been a good 'un otherwise...

aaargh! it's a fair cop. in which case the "Oslättfors" manoeuvre as first played at the infamous Free Beckenham Festival of 1969 allows me to counter with a move to "Bjärka Säby".

not a station per se, but the "Chicken Kung-Po Gambit" (as first attempted in spring 1943 but not formally accepted until the autumn of 1962) that came out of the Ilkley and District Mornington Crescent Players Association Guild handbook 4th revision, makes it an acceptable move via Lewisham. and at least its in this country.

reverses the quadrants on FOUR fronts methinks...that's the beauty of it...
there might be a way out by using the rarely-used Triple Pass Rule but it'd need a switchback up to Hell (in Norway) - dramatic, eh??
Myself, I'm not prepared to take the risk in case someone tries doing an Andersson on me...ooooh, noooooo...not for me...
Anybody else wanna have a go, be my guest...
PS @d00my...SUBCONIOUS? Wtf!!!!
