The March Violets are playing a semi-secret "gigeo" (a combined gig & video shoot, apparently) in Leeds on the 25th November 2010
There's a Facebook event set up here:

"The Court of The Dandelion King"
We'd love people to dress up for this... Elvis, Spacemen, Cyber Vampyres, Edwardian, Goth etc. The Court of the dandelion King stretches to the 22nd century!!
There will be a bar (maybe even PSYDWR!) and there's a curry house round the corner.
£5 for pledgers / £10 for non pledgers
25 November
19:30 - 22:30

The March Violets wrote: We will be filming a video for a new song "The Dandelion King" on Thursday the 25th November. We thought that it would be nice to involve our friends and give those who couldn't make the WGW and London shows a chance to see us before Tom heads back to the States.
So we have invented the "Gigeo", a video shoot and intimate gig combo.
As you know we have started a pledge for the new album, so this will be initially aimed at Pledgers. Here's the plan: If you want to be a part of this, turn up at 7.30 at the amazing venue. We want people dressed up as iconic figures from history/the future, or just looking Great. We will film a few run throughs of the song and get you to stroll around a bit. And then we'll do a little gig, and maybe play some of the other new stuff we are working on to see what you think, as well as some old classics.
There will be a bar. It will be a fiver on the door for pledgers and a tenner for non-pledgers. It will finish by 11pm.
Cheers

It will probably be a trifle chilly, though we have big heaters, it is still a massive vaulted space in November up North, so BRING WARM CLOTHES! We'll have Tea and Coffee and a bar and .... pause... PSYDWR... Either that or be prepared to huddle together and share body heat under the large Organ.
This is going to be good
And, no, this does not count as the being in a March Violets Video pledge, that is a whole different level of wondrousness.

I'd like to explain to O2 how I dropped the ball when the Newcastle switch site goes down "but it was The March Violets!"

Unable to attend due to these grumpy old sods requiring my prescence at the O2 Academy the same night;

It's a really unfortunate clash and I had planned to be at Motorhead.
But the Violets won.

I'm starting to think I brought the wrong clothes to Leeds.
I might be there

Anyone know of the nearest hotel to the gig

Um... its a residential area, so you'll probably have to stay in town. Vicar's lane travel lodge is usually the first port of call. PM me if you need guiding in.

Thanks but we found a place just up the roadish, only about 10mins away. See you there.
