Good morning all, just risen to find about four inches of snow outside, fallen overnight,we didn't have any at all yesterday.I'm in the east midlands, about 13 miles from Nottingham.I hear that it's much worse to the east coast and further north, how bad is it for you?

Couple of inches overnight in Leeds (we got home from the pub just before it started luckily) but it's melting in the sun.

Not to brag or anything, but I reckon we've got a good eight to ten inches.
If only I had a sledge...

as far as i know snow in UK is not so common late autumn - even in winter - so every inch of fresh (pure white) snow deserve separate and new thread.

now we're getting a bit older, is anyone else sh1t scared of falling over in the ice and snow? (or is it just me)...
it's amazing, I still play football, do alot of cycling and everything - but I'm still like a stiff zombie when I walk out to the car on the drive in icy conditions!!
it'll be like glass in the morning!

About 6in sitting, but it has compacted since last week.
When I went to work last Wed or Thurs it was -31c. It's warmed up lots this week. It's been -1c for the past couple of days. Think it is going to snow againlater this week and start to cool off again.

All this snow is a bit of a bastard---it took me nearly 12 minutes to walk to work instead of my usual 7 minutes

Silly amounts of snow still oop here in The Peoples Frozen Republic Of Geordania.
Oh, and we had a really mad electrical storm with thunder and lightening last night too, just for good measure. One boom in the early hours was so loud we heard it from about 10 miles away and it was so loud and the lightening from it so bright that it was like a local sub-station had gone up in smoke!
Next wave of the white stuff is mean to kick in over the next few hours so that's....er....great.
