About home recording

Hi!
I'm planning to by this thing -> http://www.thomann.de/gr/presonus_1_box.htm from Thomann.de

and I need your help.

Is it good enough for starting a (poor) home recording studio?
Will I need somathing else?

Please help me as soon as possible!

looks good make sure its ASIO compatable that way when using soft synths there no delay from playing the not to hearing it.

Tascam US 122 is a nice start, but this Firebox sure is very good!

This is USB, which ain't bad. You might consider Firewire but then you have to check if you have a TI chipset, so don't bother, that's too much hassle as it is ;)

ASIO compatibility with this kind of soundcards is a no-brainer, Presonus products come with their own dedicated ASIO drivers.

Remember to disable the internal soundcard when hooking up this (much better) beauty.
