Hi All,

I'm new to this forum but have been reading past posts with interest.

Breifly:

Been a Sisters fan since 87'. Own a few bits and bobs. Mainly Official, nothing very rare. Now decided to collect more seriously.

After reviewing my existing stuff I came across 3 Bootleg LP's which I seemed to remember came with track listings typed on bits of A4. (Since Lost).

However I have managed to track them down using this resource:

http://www.olga.net/dynamic/browse.php? ... live_boots

I expect you guys know of it.

They are as follows:

Ghostriders
First and Last and Always/Body and Soul/Alice/Body Electric/Nine
While Nine/Knockin' on Heaven's Door/Ghostrider/Louie,Louie
a. LP the Amazing Kornyfone Record Label TAKRL 1402
NOTES: Limited to 500 copies
RECORDING NOTES: Recorded at Leeds University on 3/16/85
QUALITY NOTES: 6/10. Fades out some on a couple of songs.

Heaven Can Wait
Train/Emma/A Rock and A Hard Place/Floorshow/Alice//Body
Electric/Gimme Shelter/Some Kind of Stranger/Stairway to Heaven
Sister Ray
a. LP Trade Mark of Quality TMQ 71106
NOTES: Limited to 500 copies.
QUALITY NOTES: Sound quality is pretty good but muddy in spots.
RECORDING NOTES: Recorded at King George's Hall, Blackburn on
3/3/85
COVER ART NOTES: Blue cover with 'Sisters of Mercy' and Heaven
Can Wait' in black block letters.

Wholly Ghost
First and Last and Always/Body and Soul/Marian/No Time to Cry
Possession/Walk Away/Emma/Amphetamine Logic/Gimme Shelter/
Ghostrider
a. LP Trade Mark of Quality TMQ 71105
NOTES: Limited to 500 copies
RECORDING NOTES: Recorded in Stockholm, Sweden at Kolingsborg
5/17/85

My question is this. Many people either seem to love or hate bootlegs. In general are the older ones more desirable to bootleg collectors?

Also. Does anyone know of these particular lp's being available in other formats. Reason for asking is that all of the above were supposed to be limited to 500 copies. I wonder how true that is.

And really I guess I'd like to know peoples best guess on value?

Personally I think they LOOK fairly uninteresting especially compared to some of the higher quality produced bootlegs around. But I guess "you cant judge a record by its cover"?

Any comments greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to Heartland! :D

I'd have to say most of us are all rabid sisters fanatics so the chance to trade/swop material is always of interest.

They're probably available as mp3/CDR somewhere, but there are still plenty of people who love a bit of vinyl in their collection.

I'm surprised taylor hasn't replied to this post, he seems to know the price and details of probably every sisters related item ever released  .

Well nice to meet you and please keep posting!

Yowsa :D

AFAIK -

the Blackburn one is only available as the version you have

ghostriderz is available as at least two other names - Live at Leeds & tune In turn off... For the copies I have the sound is about the same

the kolingsburg one is similar, I know of Opus Dei & No time to cry. I also have it as a Silver CD - Trans Europe Excess, which is top quality 8)

As to values, priceless obviously,

but i would suggest £10-£15 each for 2 of them and £20 for the blackburn one.

As the man said, Taylor will know

and welcome to HL :)
