The band had chart hits including E=MC2 and Medicine Show and were at the forefront of mixing dance beats with rock music and samples.
Mick will be teaming up with producer and film-maker Don Letts, drummer Greg Roberts and bass player Leo Williams, and keyboardist Dan Donovan. Dan is the son of renowned 1960s photographer Terence Donovan and was famously married to actress Patsy Kensit.
Mick has recently been touring with Gorillaz alongside his former Clash bandmate Paul Simonon.
B.A.D. released their first album in 1985 and the line-up endured until the late 1980s. A new version of the band toured and recorded as B.A.D. II for a number of years.
The rebooted band will play the Coachella Festival in California on April 16. Their UK tour begins on March 29 at Liverpool's O2 Academy.

...was famously married to actress Patsy Kensit.
Is there a musician left alive who hasn't had a crack at La Kensit?

Tickets bought for Nottingham and Manc - there's obviously a lot of old popstars out there with rubbish pensions. They seem to be having to make up the shortfall with ticket prices
