Bands that should have been s**t by their name but weren't

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Lothar and the Hand People.

Well, maybe they're actually really rubbish, but look up Space Hymn on youtube and tell me that it ain't proto-Hawkwind awesomeness.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Red Snapper
And the title of their first album, Prince Blimey, should be on the stupid album titles list, but it's a great album.

And... Nurse with Wound... great people, but the name, seriously ;D

I hate HMHB, they can't write a decent melody all they do is put a 'pub conversation' to some random music, it's arse and I will allas hate them!

Me and you are going to fall out big time JB

HMHB are one of the worlds greatest bands. Seen then 50 times now and even "nearly" got blown up by the bus that went bang on 7/7 on our way to a gig in Penzance. Every album is class and you can sometimes bump into any of the band in town on a saturday.

Absolutely agree. The Biccies are one of the greatest bands ever. :notworthy: :notworthy: James, I think the greatest philosophy probably started in the pub, or at least after a drink.

Ah where to start? Back in the D.H.S.S is the one that brought them to fame. McIntyre, Treadmore and Davitt is possibly my fav. It has the classic track Hedley Veritiyesque which has the classic line 'there's no room for enigmas in built up areas'. ;D Actung Bono is a great album, Camell Laird Social Club is a work of genius and CSI Ambleside is great, not to mention Four Lads who Shook the Wirral and Trouble over Bridgewater. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
