Old translation of even older swedish article.

When going thru alot of old CD-Rs I found an old translation I did in april 1999 fpr the Dominion mailing-list. It's a translation of a short article in the swedish music magazine Slitz. (Now it's a semi-porn magazine with no music.)
This might very well have been written in english once upon a time, and than translated into swedish by someone. Who knows. Anyhow, here it is:

The new heavy metal. [1]
It's to early to talk about a 76-punk revival, but in England today a
couple of new bands are gathering force from the energy of the original
punk, at the same time as they try to fetch the best from the heavy
metal [1] gengre.
Sisters of Mercy is one of these bands.
The Leeds-gang Sisters of Mercy recently released their third single
"Anaconda" on their own label Merciful Release, after two years of
work. Their big move last year was a tour with Psychidelic Furs, one
of the bands that have acted as a model in the creation of SoM,
together with Motorhead and Birthday Party. Their new album is, just
like their debut "Body Electric" and it's follower "Alice", something
complete different than their live performances. The singer, Andy
Eldritch, in his leathersuit makes you think of DAF, but the acting,
on the other hand, makes you think about the kicking of The Stooges
and The New York Dolls.
Andy rejects all claims that the band are riding on the wave that
pours black magic into their image:
"That would be the easiest way. A textline on the last single says
'In illusion comfort lies' [2], wich means that black magic is just
another illusion that people use to hide behind, to protect
themselves from the reality."
At Andy's side we'll find Gary Max and Benn Gunn, both on guitar, Craig
Adams on the and Dr Avalache, a drum machine. The Doc gives the others
space for whatever move they'd like without loosing the beat. [3]
Sistes of Mercy call their own music heavy metal [1], but they include
both Psychidelic Furs and Siouxsie & the Banshees into this gengre.
-"Most bands that people refers to as haevy metal, except Motorhead, are
worthless. They are an insult to the intellect."
SoM say they stand for alot of humor and irony (the name of the band
are chosed to give associations to nuns, aswell as prostitutes.),
something that is well hid and hard to catch among all the seriousness
on the record. But they say it's there, live, in all the noice. [3]
-"Our attitude towards parody and things are supposed to make people understand
how to react to the music. I don't understand why you can't scare people
at the same time as you entertain them, create excitement and give
inspiration."
We can expect a new EP from the group later this year, on the Merciful
Release label, the same label where we find March Violets. The debut LP
won't be out until next year.

Note:
[1] 'HÃ¥rdrock', really softer than Heavy Metal but still heavier than
rock. I really don't know if the direct translation 'hardrock' might
be applyable.

[3] The one who wrote this in swedish really gotta suck, it's not easy to
understand what he tries to say, I'm not even sure the writer, himself,
knows what he means... I hope you understand my translation.
