Just as much as to convince your local organisers or venues to book them ... ...

A couple of ten thousand euros/pounds, I would guess. Just look at the smallest venues they have played and multiple capacity and ticket price to get what the promoter bring in from the crowd.

A few years ago I know Madness were available for private parties for £3000.

I'd go for a few tens of thousands, ticket sales from Leeds must have been about £60,000 alone. Not sure how that would break down after venue costs, insurance(?) etc..

I think around 20 000 euros, just get in touch with their booker at Primary you will have the answer if you have a real and concrete project ;)

Thinking about this again (yeah, I know I need to get out more), that figure of 20k I've heard mentioned a few times is probably for a medium/large gig.

Let's face it, The Sisters are far more than 4 guys and f**k-tonne of drum machinery.

There's lighting (!!), smoke machinery (!!!!) and a cast & crew of a half-dozen at least (tech guys, merch people etc) to feed and water.

Mobilising the troops isn't cheap :|

However, if your original question was "how much would it cost to get them to play my birthday party/wedding reception/whatever", my guess is much less.

Not that they would do it of course

But if it was a smaller 'gig' (like the infamous sabine's reptile house fan club gig in her living room), my guess is it would be much, much cheaper.

As I say, not that they would do it though ;)

I remember him saying around 1997 as to why he didn't tour America, because no one here would fork over the $30,000 US. After Philadelphia '97, either he lowered his price or venues stepped up to his.

My guess it is around 5,000-20,000 euros. I remember they got 100,000 DM (~50,000 euro) 1998 at Arvika. And that was quite a lot back in the days...

The organisers are doing a lot of money of course, but they also got a lot of staff, advertising and so forth to pay for.

As for this tour though my guess is that Von and Co are getting most of the money from tickets sold as there is almost none advertising etc.

Conclusion, if you got the money (which isn't very much) you probably can get them to play at you birthday. ;D

Maybe he just didn't raise his price and eventually inflation caught up with his demands.

It depends wether you book a loose show or catch them in a tour. A tour gig is cheaper ofcourse than a single show. Someone told me how much they cost on the last tour, but I forgot

Indeed, and then we have the special case with gigs far away, like the one in Lima/Peru in 2009, a whopping 3500 km away from the other SA gigs - such a gig cannot really break even, can it?

Speaking of private gig - didn't they do one in Sao Paolo before the big "real" one? Also the Beirut gig seemed to have some signs of private gig, judging by the reviews. VIP sections on both?

My guess is that the short festival runs, the more compact the better, like last year, is where they earn the most.

If he thinks that the even would be dodgy or "goth" no money in the world would help you... they once turned down a offer from Whitby Goth weekend to play there, 200 000£ is a quite reasonable offer...

If you are indeed serious about this, you need to consider this, they have, as most bands do, a list of things, not just a rider, but, promotion, security, insurance, PA, lights, smoke, get in times, get out times, sound checks, a bit more smoke, downside payment (if something at the venue goes bad, etc) and so on, but, you can always write to them, and, maybe, you'll be the lucky letter that gets opened and read..
