I know this isn't confirmed yet from the band, but I think it's safe enough to presume it's real. The promoter in Ireland is MCD - a huge company that deals with the biggest touring acts in the world, as well as minor ones.

If it was a small small promoter, then perhaps they might have jumped the gun in announcing it, but that seems very unlikely in this case.

Tickets are on sale tomorrow morning.

This is as good as confirmed. Tickets are on sale tomorrow, and one of the bigger national radio stations has been running a competition for tickets all week.

It was Today FM. They gave away two tickets each night, Monday-Wed, plus an overall winner of a box in the Olympia.

Phantom FM at this moment are having a two-hour sisters special and also giving away two tickets to the Olympia gig. Their website is down for maintenance at the moment though.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Yep, tickets bought - this feels like the ultimate luxury, a Sisters gig in my home town. On a Friday night as well - gonna be a stormer.

Do I want the cheap or the expensive tickets to end up in the standing bit?

Cheap is normally standing, seats and boxes cost more.

Ground floor standing, it comes to €37.15 before postage. At least that's what I've got so I hope it's the right one.

What does the Olympia Theatre look like nowadays? I've got two pictures and don't know which is the older one. Please help.

The first one is what it looks like now (again). It's the original entrance, which was destroyed by a truck hitting it in 2004, but which was restored a few years later. The second image was 'in the meantime'.

It's a fantastic venue. My favourite venue, and not just in Dublin. It's really intimate, great views, great acoustics and great atmosphere.

Thank you very much for the info, Dissenter ... :notworthy: ;D ...

The original entrance looks so lovely. It had been quite a loss,
if they had not restored it ... so kudos to the owners for their committment ... :D ...
