Have been obsessed by this album for years vinyl and CD copies just never fill my need to hear this album again and again.
I never, ever post on forums cos I consider myself a bit too old at 40 (odd) but....I assume you are drunk?neonsuntan wrote:Have been obsessed by this album for years vinyl and CD copies just never fill my need to hear this album again and again.
It's not the format it's just I wish the Sisterhod had been maintained as some kind of side project... of course I am a bit odd as well.SLG wrote:I never, ever post on forums cos I consider myself a bit too old at 40 (odd) but....I assume you are drunk?neonsuntan wrote:Have been obsessed by this album for years vinyl and CD copies just never fill my need to hear this album again and again.
Or are you just a bit 'odd'?
The format of a release does not fulfill you?
I know that there will never be another Sisterhood album... but the project got bad reviews when it came out, the remaining CD's are very expensive and I din't think the MP3's are even available on itunes...lachert wrote:i think i can understand you. gift is my fav sisters album, but i'm affraid that will be hard to get Ray, Vega and specially Morrison together again as Andrew's sidekicks
Von told something that he called Vega for birthday party this year with no response from Alan other way sisterhood II may become something like ssv project, so better don't touch the legend me think

No-one seems to remember it very well, which is a deep shame
I'm pleased to hear that Gift fans will rule the world.lachert wrote:now i don't think i can understand youneonsuntan wrote:I know that there will never be another Sisterhood album... but the project got bad reviews when it came out, the remaining CD's are very expensive and I din't think the MP3's are even available on itunes...lachert wrote:i think i can understand you. gift is my fav sisters album, but i'm affraid that will be hard to get Ray, Vega and specially Morrison together again as Andrew's sidekicks

i know about bad reviews, but the music was ahead of those times, so nothing to worry about.
for sure gift should be reissue officially with additional intrumental giving ground and all that Ray/Eldritch this corrosion demos as a bonus tracks on second cd but we talk about Andrew Eldritch, so don't expect such miracles
you can hunt original gift cd for not too big money on ebay with a little patience and on vinyl even cheaper!
and believe me there's a lot of people i know, which remember gift very well, but they don't know who the "floodland" is
and one day, gift fans will rule the world, that's for sure
I'm aware of this it's just a shame the original isn't offiically available anywheremarkfiend wrote:The Sisterhood - Gift mp3s are available online for those who know where to look...
Don't tell anyone though, it's still under copyright and people could get in trouble for hosting it.
I bought an official "Gift" shirt from the band in Belgium just weeks ago.neonsuntan wrote:I'm aware of this it's just a shame the original isn't offiically available anywheremarkfiend wrote:The Sisterhood - Gift mp3s are available online for those who know where to look...

I can't even buy a T-shirt with the album cover on it so I guess I'll have to have one made to order.
i didnt spot the link either tbhmarkfiend wrote:Ah well I tried.
Really? Our tastes overlap a lot, but this comes as surprise, if I'm understanding you correctly. I think it's among the best things AE has ever been involved with.James Blast wrote:'Gift' was a major kick in the trouser to me.
I still don't get it but I'll sell my copy (on pristine vinyl) for a decent price.
I got it on CD about 5 years ago and haven't felt the need to return to it.

Too subtle?
Thanks man.James Blast wrote:my CDs a vinyl rip, if I can find it I'll check the bitrate
Sadly the vinyl goes for peanuts on ebay,it's the cd that's worth a few quid.James Blast wrote:'Gift' was a major kick in the trouser to me.
