A question about Marian?

Unknown songs and demos, who wrote what, who sang what, the usual biographies, discography gubbins, photos of Eldritch with no sunglasses, etc, etc, etc, yadda, yadda, yadda....

Okay just wondering, but in the song Marian, is :von: saying Marion or Mary Anne? I'm just wondering because my mom said that he was probably saying Marion and I have a grand mother named Mary Anne.

Marian is a common enough name (although probably losing popularity these days as people seem to need to name their kids Kylie, Chantelle, etc). Maid Marian from the Robin Hood tales is the most famous use in literature.

In Alice is he saying "Al, hiss"?
