11th June 2011 - Nova Rock - Austria

new date to replace the cancelled czech sonisphere gig
http://www.the-sisters-of-mercy.com/news/livenews.htm
Due to a licensing issue at the promoter's end, we will now be performing at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria rather than Sonisphere in Prague. The Sisters had been booked to perform at Sonisphere at 11pm, which is unfortunately not possible since the site was moved (and the licence was changed). Please get in touch with
office@novamusic.at if you need refunds/swaps.

Has anybody actually received a reply from
office@novamusic.at ? I e-mailed them on Friday and still no answer...
Also, The Sisters are not mentioned yet on Nova Rock's site.
Oh well, perhaps it's just a matter of time.

Also didn't get any response from my e-mail. Indeed I don't beleive so much in swap/refund, but I will wait few more days and than start sell/buy operation...
Btw, anybody any idea about accommodation? I tried "all" - i.e. 3 or 4 - hotels/pensions at Nickelsdorf, and they are all fully booked, of course... There is some strange thing like renting a tent ("Kempingski Zelt Hotel" - funny name
), but don't consider it as much comfortable thing. Another possibility is to get somehow to nearby Hungarian town (its name is...ehm
)...
Any experience from 2006?
And where is actually festival area? North or south of Nickelsdorf?

But in the meantime I got the information from Czech Sonisphere organisers that the return of the ticket is not possible.
Bastards, they excluded the most important rockstar from the lineup and they don't want to take responsibility for this disgraceful deed.

Emma, if you'd like me to call or mail them in German PM me, ok? I mean, I wouldn't get my hopes high, but sometimes being a friendly girl helps. Who knows.

Well, you're right, at least partly. But on the other hand, Sisters were added later, they were not supposed to play there from the beginning. But, of course, still fed up with organizers too.... Also because they're still changing price of tickets - selling them for lower and lower prices (now "new" cheaper tickets with entry from 17.00) which makes it even harder to sell it for original prices...
Btw, at TV spot on Czech Sonispehere were Sisters still included (aired on Monday) and also they were still mentioned in yesterday's article in local press about moving the festival...

Is it just me starting to feel angry and bitter, or is it a fact that organising a festival is a big challenge with which some people just shouldn't try to cope.
Sita - thank you and check your PMs.

...
....
... damned, a second, earlier _emma_ ...
btw, good luck and best wishes for your arrangements ...
seems that Sonisphere CZ has been quite a funny thing from the beginning ...
Golden Circle tickets ... fuckers ...

Well my plan looks like this:
If I manage to sort the ticket issue somehow, I'll just drive there. Given the fact that this date seems to be kinda doomed
, I don't want to book any transport or accommodation, I'd rather rely on myself so I'll just get in the car and drive, if I do. This will mean I'll have enough room to spend the night inside my car - well roughly but it's better than sleeping on the ground
(it's an estate car with the option to make a "comfortable" bed, big enough for 2 people), and I will also take the tent with me (enough for 3 people), just in case.

"Special late-night attrraction", if I read it correctly - it's written in small letters. Start time: 0:15 on second ("red") stage. Look here...

Well.
I appears that
office@novamusic.at have ignored both my e-mails, and the result of Sita's ringing them (thank you very much again Sita) indicates that the answer is no.
So I guess we can start to try to sell the Czech tickets, Sukhoi.

this is not stupid. if it'll work, i'll buy regular ticket for czech gig for 40 euros than swap it for nova rock one (sisters day 72 euros), so 32 euros in my pocket for beer

Thank you, too. Indeed, my suspicion about movement of festival/skipping Sisters was close to the truth....

office@novamusic.at):
Hey Petr,
You will get all informations regarding the ticket swap on Monday next week.
Hope that is ok?
All the best
Your Nova Music Team
So let's see...
