Apparently he was interesting in directing Return of the Jedi, but he turned it down when he was offered the job in early 1982 as he was desperate to make the film of 'Dune' (he probably considered it a much more interesting project).

I wish he HAD done ROTJ Though.
it would have been an interesting film to say the least - Admiral Ackbar would have ended up dancing around and talking backwards, Luke would have had an evil twin, and it can only be speculated what the Ewoks would have ended up like.

Like, hmmm. Let me think. David Lynch loves milkshakes. He goes in at the cafe at just the right time. He actually has timed it. Like in the lunch rush, its not cold ebough. Because many buy and it goes empty and so on. I do not remember the time right now.. But he simply loves it, when he gets it very cold and perfect.
