The Sisters in Terrorizer magazine # 211

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

The new issue of heavy metal mag Terrorizer, issue 211 July (Slipknot on the cover),released today features a nice two page feature on the band, tied in to their appearance at Sonisphere.Interview with Andrew and Chris, big pic of Von with a fag on.
They are actually featured in the magazines "goth" pullout mini mag, with a big mr II logo as the cover.I'm sure they'll be delighted by that, although it should be mentioned that the goth magazine is called "Dominion" :innocent:
Some nice quotes from our glorious leader. On the sublect of the recent XXX tour "It turned out well. Now that we're fired up,we're going to storm new ground. And probably sound awful"
As to what the audience at Sonisphere can expect "They can expect to see a rock band playing a selection of rock band stylings.Rocket science"
£4.25 from your local newsagent.
"I've seen Andrew Eldritch in an ice hockey shirt onstage, and I've given him the benefit of the doubt"
Tom G Warrior of Celtic Frost

"And probably sound awful" - with the live sound they usually manage there is nothing too new there

It's OK. They come off well.

Bet ya they didn't tell them it was going in the G--- section of the magazine, though.

By "storm new ground", I'm assuming they mean literally, as opposed to actually, y'know, playing some new songs or announcing a return to making records or anything crazy like that... :innocent:

Sadly not.

I took it to mean the establishment of stunning new frontiers in inactivity.

Read it down the shop yesterday; it's a nice interview and really great to see the way Von and Chris riff off each other these days. :notworthy:
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I'll try and avoid spilling beer on it. Going to get the Paramount Leader to sign it? Make sure he notices the big strapline at the top of the front cover...

There's an interview with AE in the current issue of Classic Rock - Guns n'Roses on the front cover. The magazine also has a review of the new Eureka Machines album.
