Interesting interview, thank-you kindly for posting.
The quote "pretty much half of our live set has been made up of unreleased stuff - and generally it's different stuff to last year's unreleased stuff". I do take a bit of issue with
I think he has been listening to different bootlegs to me.

When you take a look at the magazines homepage you´ll just find a notice about the EM at least.

I've got the latest Classic Rock interview and its only one page but quite funny, Von is asked "What pisses you off?" to which he replies "What pisses me off?, Beetroot. It's not really a food, is it?".
Maybe it's because i don't like beetroot but i thought it was a good answer
I'll put a scan up of it later if anybody wants me to

Definitely. AE is teetering
just this side of witty responses, but I get the feeling if this interview had been a two-pager, it'd have gone down a lot worse.

thanks for scan
nothing new but it's strange how's von much different from me in opinion about higher being, movies and so on, but i still like his music and still think that "he's a funny guy"

It's a cool interview, and he's interesting
<3 <3 <3 when he's talking about other stuff, and not forced to explain himself about the lack of record releases...

Still bastard cool.
Although I don't I think he 'felt' the baldness coming on - he was going bald already, therefore he shaved the rest off in order not to look like Richard E Grant or something.
In regard to having no belief in a higher consciousness or whatnot, I think Von's music is typical of something that speak volumes of a deeper intuition about reality. Whether it actually 'means' anything objectively is irrelevant to me, and probably to him too - it's the experience that counts, and is probably intensely personal to each indivisual listening to it...
...I'm sure that music at its best can be considered spiritual, shamanistic, magical or whatever... I think that stuff just doesn't fit the semantics of his image of raw humanist radical invidualist ubermenschian Randian Objectivist stoicism...
As for Beetroot? If you can eat it, it's a food, Andrew. Get a grip.

THAT is what beetroot is? Lachert I know that soup. My grandma makes it sometimes.
Andrew I'm with you. Beetroot in any form is grosser than pickled pumpkin (and it's hard to be grosser than pickled pumpkin) and should be crossed out from the list of edible plants.
