Dear French People out there, can you tell me what is the best way to get from Clermont Ferrand to Toulouse by bus or train? What is the best french website to search for this information and buy a ticket? I've been googling but all I've found is a rather long train journey with two changes, obtainable from tgv-europe.com. Any better suggestions?
Thanks in advance! :notworthy:

Option 1:

If you don't mind:
1: To sleep in the car but be aware, you will have the worst night in your life
2: Listening "The Sisters of Mercy"
3: If i drive slowly
4: if you like messy travel

So, I have a space in the car

After, I go back to Perpignan where you can get a train or flight or i can get you to Toulouse Train Station/airport.

I can do the same from Zurich to Lausanne if everything goes ok
But not from Lausanne to Clermont Ferrand

Option 2:
Ask "doctoravalanche" ;D

Does anyone here know this area of Toulouse well? I've tried various places (including a local journey planner) to find out about getting to and from the venue and it seems to be very hard to do without a car. From what I've checked out, Le Bikini is about 1km south of the final metro stop (Ramonville) and there seem to be no hotels in the area (apart from the Comfort Hotel 1km further south from the venue).

Any advice or tips would be most appreciated :)

There are two budget hotels closer to the venue, like 500 meters, (Lidotel or even cheaper Formule 1). They are both by the way also much closer to Métro station Ramonville.

Haven't checked availability though, which probably is the biggest problem since they are likely to be fully booked (concert + weekday in a business area).

Personally I'll stay in downtown Toulouse if I go and the take the metro forth and back, I've stayed far too often in french suburbian budget motels ;D

If I remember well, this venue is located in the "Parc technologique du canal", a suburb of the suburb of a provincial town.
As for hotels go, I'm afraid you won't have much choice:

Thanks a lot for this link. This hotel wasn't available on booking.com, and it's the best location in this case, in walking distance from both the venue (to crash out after the gig), and the Ramonville station on the following morning. Just the location I was looking for. Thanks!
The other one, Lidotel, seems to be fully booked by the way.

Very good in my opinion, fantastic sound at the spots I tested, :von: seemed much more into it than in Clermont.
Something Fast instead of Rain from heaven. Nice crowd, no real moshing what I could see but more and more spontaneous dancing everywhere as the gig went on.
And last but not least a very nice city, will definitely return!

Oh yeah, I've found a series of vids on YT, taken with no good audio equipment, and not so very much to see of the band ...
but still great pictures and plenty lovely views of a wonderful audience which was deeply into the gig ... ;D ;D ;D ... Rock on, Toulouse!!!

Thanks for the setlist, Druide ... :D ...
