Need a Band Name, any GOOD suggestions?

My band squabble over band names. We are stuggling in this department. I've decided to go with "Bowden" which really has no meaning, therefore no pretension. I'm open to suggestions, and credit can be done on the first single to recognize the originator, unless we go with the current "boring" name. i ask on this forum because we are all into some good sh*t. Shoot away, you can be silly too. I almost considered "Fluffy Bunny Feet: Destroyer of Worlds" but we're saving that for our metal gig.

I always thought "Free Beer Until 1am" would look good on the poster & would have the gigs packed out.

;D

"Bowden"?! What a nondescript choice.

My housemate is determined to start a psychobilly outfit called "The Gizmoids" one day.

My band are named after part of the title of an Aubery Beardsly painting we liked the look of.

What do you sound like?

I would go with a Sisters related name (natch) and always thought that Valentine contains lots of good idea - how about The Razor Smiles ?

I always thought Orgasmic Menstruation Decapitated was kinda nice sounding, but it all depends on the genre. Might not work as a Gospel Choir, for example.

Why have you picked a name that has no significance? Do you not have anything like stories or favourite things that somehow connect you as a band and thus you can construct something from that? Or maybe from an inside joke? I think it's always good to have some idea behind the name you put on your band.

Did she have pretention? Was she in a band? Was she Orgasmic Menstruation Decapitated at any time?

Many of the names mentioned here are VERY good indeed. Thank you all and please keep em' coming. I like some of the more humorous ones too. Mr Blast I thought it might be a surname but when the idea initially came up we chose the name after months of crap like "Bad Ground" or "Identity Parade" I disliked Bad Ground because it made the whole thing sound like some glam rock band and Identity Parade is a song or name of an album I think, by whom I don't know, yet it sounds good but too Joy Division-y. Then there was "Concentrsation City" which I know I ripped off so Instead there was this quaint, rather boring town with a prison, one of the main prisons for our province, in this town called "Bowden". I guess it had that tone to it, like Pelican for example. I certainly like "The Idiot Children", that sounds good. To describe our sound.... , well it's a mix of many things. My geetar man listens to "stoner/pyche rock" mixed with my post-punk geetar sound and our own trusty Dr. no name. it can be dark, noisy, industrial-y. Were not into the genre thing really so we just call it "primus". Primus calls thier music "primus" so we are doing a similar thing, which of course throws everyone off. I could upload something but I need to figure that out first, then we can go from there. Nonetheless, thanks to all, I enjoy the comments and would explain more but as aformentioned keep em coming and i'll keep you guessing till something is uploaded then you can all have em for free. Not just one song but a few indeed.
