Hi xtiaan, welcome first of all ...
...
About the Australian gigs, find out more about it
here (clicky) as well as on
The Sisters' very own homepage (clicky). That should clarify your questions.

Soundwave Touring.
Not too hard, since the festival was called Soundwave Revolution.

Thank you copper,
and anyway we should not forget,
The Sisters
are going to play Australia nonetheless (and with the same promoter).
Here are
the new Tour Dates for Feb/Mar 2012 ...

It's past my bedtime and strictly none of my business, but the 2011 cancellation of the OZ/NZ Sisters shows had nothing to do with TSOM.
They had middle billing for the Soundwave Revolution travelling gig/festival.
The festival got cancelled due to internal problems within Van Halen (and I mean Van Halen with David Lee Roth, which always had internal problems) and the promoter's inability to get Aerosmith onboard as a double-header headline act with Van Halen.
So, your two headline acts were not available. Kind of puts a dent in your chrome.
As stated by others here, TSOM will in fact be in Oz, but now it won't be until next year.
